Overview

A case report of a 69-year-old physically active male in whom a temporary reduction in physical activity and an increase in body weight led to a deterioration of the lipid profile. After subsequent weight loss (−5.6 kg) and restoration of regular running activity, a significant improvement in lipid parameters was observed, particularly a reduction in LDL cholesterol by approximately 30%, without pharmacological intervention.
